These two adjoining towers, located on the main street, form, together with the neighbouring church of San Salvador, a set of great artistic and historical value. Although both towers show typical features of Gothic architecture (keystone covers, lancet and trilobed windows), archaeological study Zarautz tower revealed that the building is the result of successive enlargements, a fourteenth century tower and that at least part of its facade, actually dates from the seventeenth century.
Excavations in the area, brought to light also a valuable archaeological site. They found traces of human presence from the second century to the twentieth century. This allows us to reconstruct the history of this enclave from Roman times to the present day.
